Purpose and mission of the Parent’s Association
The Parents’ Association organizes Teacher Appreciation week, collects Box Tops for Education, hosts all receptions after student performances and awards ceremonies, organizes Homecoming activities, and works on beautification around our campus. Dogs on the Hunt and Bidding for the Bulldogs are two of their largest fundraisers.
What Parents' Association Has Accomplished
Every year presents new opportunities. Our focus is ensuring that teachers and students have the support they need to have the best educational experience.
Collected $100,000 annually
Every year we collect around $100,000 to help the students teachers and the school.
Support non-revenue sports
Through our efforts, we help offset the costs associated with several athletic programs that are non-revenue generating.
Support fine arts program
The Parents' Association has helped provide funding for various needs within fine arts.
Fund new tech for students
From iPads to Kajet Smart-Bus WiFi, our efforts have helped accelerate technology throughout the school.

The Parents’ Association truly appreciates each and every volunteer who has dedicated his/her time to create a better school for our children. As a parent at UMS-Wright, you already a member of the great Parents' Association community. We hope to see you at one of our meetings this year or around campus during our fundraising efforts.
The Parents' Association hosts many fundraising events throughout the school year. When you purchase t-shirts or spirit items that are sold through the PA, the proceeds are donated directly back to UMS-Wright.

UMS-Wright joins families and organizations across the country in observing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Our “Yellow Day" began twelve years ago as a celebration of the legacy and life of UMS-Wright student, Krisanna Roberts.

Bidding for the Bulldogs
Hosted by the Parents' Association, Bidding for the Bulldogs is the largest fundraiser of the year that consists of a night of celebration on campus as well as an online auction.

Michael Scott MVP Tournament
Those who knew Michael Scott well recall the positive impact he had on people’s lives with a beaming smile, general love of life, friends, and family, and a charismatic personality. This event benefits the Michael George Scott Scholarship.

Lyon Newell Charity Throws Meet
The Lyon Newell Charity Throws Meet is unique in that it is a sporting event, a memorial event, and a charity event all in one. In addition to donating to Wilmer Hall Children's Home a portion of the proceeds will go towards a scholarship in memory of Lyon Newell.
